Today in 1997 October Tide released there debut album Rain Without End Stockholm,Sweden Melodic Doom/Death Metal Status:Active Years active: 1994-1999, 2009-present October Tide is a melodic death/doom metal band which was formed in Sweden by Jonas Renkse and Fredrik Norrman of swedish doom metal band Katatonia. They released only two albums between 1997 and 1999 (originally under Avantgarde, now released under Peaceville) prior to Katatonias evolution to Last Fair Deal Gone Down (2001). Rain Without End album was recorded in 95, though it wasnt released until 97. The had disbanded itself cause of their inspiration ran dry and Renkse & Norrman decided to fully concentrate on Katatonia instead. In 2009 Fredrik Norrman decided to start October Tide up again. This time without Jonas Renkse though. The band´s third full-length studio album A Thin Shell was released in 2010. Tunnel of No Light followed in 2013.
