From Banglapedia - Pritilata had participated in ‘activities subversive to the state’ since the period of studies in Eden College, where she became a member of Sree Sangha under the banner Dipali Sangha led by Lila Nag. In Calcutta she was a member of the Chhatri Sangha led by Kalayani Das. After graduation she returned to Chittagong and took up the job of the headmistress of a local English medium secondary school named Nandankanan Aparnacharan School. [Amin, Sonia Nishat, Professor of History, Dhaka University] Now everything is named after Bangamata Fazilunnesa.. Yesterday, Jagannath varsity Female Students hall, to be constructed, was named after Fazilunnesa, not after Pritilata or Kalpana or Ila Mitra. Rajshahi Varsity has halls named after Khaleda Zia, not after Ila Mitra... I asked a patient from Chapinababgonj about Ila Mitra. He expressed his total ignorance about her. Its not his fault but we have failed to overcome partisan and family politics. Our future generations are systematically taught about distorted history of our nation!!!!!
