Today is World Suicide Prevention Day. Odds are every person I know, and every person THEY know, will be affected by suicide and its consequences at some point in their life. Id personally like to highlight two risk groups very close to my heart: farmers (or people in agriculture in general), and military personnel. These two wildly different professions have a very serious common factor - their high rates of suicide. I understand you may not know how to make a difference, and in light of this, I suggest doing one thing; simply have a read about some of the circumstances that can trigger suicidal thoughts and desires for these two groups.
