Today is a day that has long set with me and my family as the one day in the whole year we can all come together. As Ive grown older, and things have evolved, we have found it harder and harder to keep up this tradition. For the first year in a long long time, I find myself unable to be home for Thanksgiving, a fact that nearly broke my heart..... But then a very lovely woman named Jackie invited me into her familys tradition, and I lost all words to describe how grateful I am to have her. It may be only a few short months since we started dating, but Im here to say that Ive never known a relationship quite like ours, and I couldnt be happier for it :) So in no short terms, I want to tell the lot of you how much you mean to me, and how thankful I am to have you: Kathie Lisk - Mama, Im sure you know how heartbreaking it was that I couldnt come home this year....while I was thankful enough to get some time with you for your birthday, I wish I could be there with you all, celebrating today :( You have been one of my biggest supporters, and the cheer in my every day life, and Im so thankful to have you as a mother. I couldnt have asked for a better example to look toward
