Today is supposed to be a rest day, in our 5-day MetCon cycle, which is a buy-in to next months 10,000 SWINGS program, based on Coach Dan Johns program of the same name. But interestingly enough, I seemed to have some extra energy, so I was up at 5am this morning to hammer out the following circuit, which I call SUICIDE FOR MY VALENTINE. SUICIDE FOR MY VALENTINE- SANDBAG MILITARY/OVERHEAD PRESS [60kg] -30 reps SANDBAG ZERCHER SQUATS [60kg] -60 reps SPEED BURPEES -90 reps My time: 42 minutes. This one had me questioning my sanity. At around the 40rep mark with the burpees, my legs and lungs were screaming at me to stop. I had initially planned to shoot for 100 burpees but my body wasnt having any of that. I barely made it to 90, and I almost collapsed as I walked over to my bench several feet away to sit down and rest. It was about 20minutes before my legs started to feel normal again. So now you know why Im smiling! :)
