Today, the government of Cameroon through the Minister of Finance announced 5% increment of the basic salary of civil servants after the had initially increased prices of petroleum products. As Ambassador, I need not remind you that increasing the fuel prices which affects the whole citizenry and then increasing pay wage only for about 10% of the population doesnt help fight poverty. One would have hope that you will consider the millions who dont receive a pay check from the government and who cant afford basic needs. Where is the Government of Cameroon headed?
