Today to say the least will be tough for me. Although its not good bye its Ill see you around, I feel he is the end of a dying breed. He has been an inspiration on and off the field to many. His turn2 foundation will contiue. His legacy without question will live on. For those of you that disagree I ask you to do me this one favor. Look around sports today especially whats going on in the NFL. Now look at the way he has presented himself the past 20 years as a professional, as a role model, and as a citizen. The man has never been thrown out of a game let alone had something happen involving the court system. All I ask is step back. Look past the pinstripes which so many of you are blinded bye. I get it. I understand your hate. But dont let it effect what he has accomplished in his career. At the very least if you disagree dont comment. Thank you for your time on this rainy Thursday....Mr. Derek Sanderson Jeter I personally thank you for playing the game the way it was meant to be played. I will tell my future kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews your legacy. I hate to say it but I dont think they will never get a chance to grow up watching a player like you.
