Today was a great morning for cleaning old tombstones, not too hot and not too cold! With a minimum of effort a team of 6 cleaned all the stones in the McCollum lot and the Hiram Grinstead stone in about one hour. We used D2 Biological product, non-toxic and safe for vegetation and wildlife plus lots of water and scrub brushes. No bleach and no wire brushes for us! Didnt think to do before & after photos, well do that next trip. Thanks go to Sue & James Lee Silliman, Glendle Griggs, Octavia Taylor, Kathy Boyette and Teresa Harris for spending a little time at Oakland Cemetery this morning.
