Today was a little emotional for Ash. She is very happy to be coming home and grateful to be able to start her next step in her journey but Neuro-restorative has been her home and almost like family for 8 months. She was emotional when I had to leave her in the beginning and didnt want to stay but adapted to it and realized it was helping her. There were tears shed on both sides today as the therapist, nurses and staff have adopted her as their child, consider her part of them, and gotten attached to her as well. I remember sitting in the same place July 23rd having to provide and complete all necessary forms and information to check her in Neuro-restorative for her rehab because she was not capable of doing this herself. At that time she still had no memory of herself or her life. Well Im so proud to say that today 8 months later when discharging they gave me the paperwork and I turned and handed it to her to sign and complete herself. She still has more journey to travel but she has come so far. Im very grateful to Neuro for all they have done for her and how welcome they made her feel. I could feel the emotions they have for her. Thank you again to all of her prayer warriors for your continued love, support and prayers.
