Today we will be revealing the women leading the Digital Media of WESiT. You will get to know who is talking and posting to you via social media! Right now you have the pleasure of getting to know Amy Shedd. She will be interacting with everyone, taking photos, and posting to our accounts during the Techie Women Have More...Conference. Here is a short interview that features Amy, who is currently a freshman at Indiana University, Bloomington. Her major is Informatics with a cognate in Telecommunications, in addition shes also obtaining a Game Studies certificate. In her own words: I really enjoy teaching people how to interact and use technology because in one way or another it is so beneficial to everyones lives. My dream is to design or work at a company that designs video games, which are purely technology, so that is also another fun way I incorporate it in my studies. Try to think of someone that does not use technology... No luck, right? Every single job incorporates technology in one form or another. Being a technology major, I feel that technology is so vital in our lives today because it holds so many possibilities. Plus, everyone should have a little technology study because it is so prominent in the work force and in our lives. My goal is to work with a company that designs and builds video games, or even a company that creates interactive media. Honestly, any job that allows me to work with technology would be wonderful and enjoyable to me. I would encourage EVERYONE to pursue some form of technological study. It is so helpful, beneficial, and influential in our world. Why would anyone want to miss out on something like that? I love to work out - Im an addict. As far as technology goes, I also love to play video games online (yes, girls can do that too). I happen to be love tanning as well, indoor and outdoor - indoor tanning involves technology, too. I enjoy hanging out with my friends, and making new ones whenever I can. Im currently on an intramural soccer team. As of now, WESiT is the only club that I am involved in because I am the type of person that focuses and puts everything into one thing rather than marginal effort into a lot of other things. I am so excited to be a part of WESiT and to help us develop over the next few years! Welcome Amy everyone!
