Today while I was at the gas station getting my morning coffee I overheard a women and little kids choosing which donuts to choose. The little kids were excitingly saying ooh this one and that one!, but the lady was telling them no not those ones. I thought to myself why is this women being harsh? Why cant they have the donut they want!?. So I turned around to see what was going on and saw that the elderly women was in a wheel chair and the kids were no taller than my waist. The donuts they were wanting were too high for them to reach and she wasnt able to stand up. I set my coffee down and knelt down asking the little kids which ones they were wanting again (all of them on the top row lol) and grabbed them. The lady and kids thanked me and went to check out where she was told she was short some .80 cents which meant they couldnt all get donuts [little girl starts to cry]. So I told the cashier to just add the donuts with my coffee. It may have cost me a couple dollars more and two minutes of my work day but the toothless smiles on their faces were truly priceless! THEY made my day.
