Todays Devotional 21:10:2013: Don’t Be Ashamed Of The Gospel “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” Romans 1:16 You cannot be serving God and serving the world simultaneously. You cannot straddle the fence putting one leg in God and one leg in the world. You must let people know if you are a Christian. Don’t be ashamed to tell them. There are many people who go to church but are ashamed to confess Christ publicly. You cannot relate with God like that and expect to contact power. “For whosoever shall be ashamed of Me and of My words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed of, when He shall come in His own glory and in His Father’s and of the holy angels” (Luke 9:26 KJV). Some people go to church but their lifestyle says a different thing. If your lifestyle says a different thing, you will be ashamed of the gospel, you cannot boldly declare the gospel of our Lord. If your lifestyle is clean and upright, you will not be ashamed to carry a big Bible. You will not be ashamed to open your Bible in the airport to read when your flight is delayed; you will not be ashamed to witness to the person sitting by you on the plane or in the bus and you will not be ashamed to speak in tongues and sing praise on to the living God in the little space you have without disturbing anyone. Beloved you should not be ashamed in your office to bow your head, as a CEO, to pray to your God; after all, He placed you in that position. You know people feel there are some things that are not dignified. They say “Let them not see me praying” look at you! Daniel was not afraid or ashamed of being seen praying. He knew the source of his strength and stayed connected. How connected are you to your source. In the past workers of evil will hide their hands if they want to shake each other, but today they do it publicly. People who worship vain gods do it openly and confidently, why should you who serve the Almighty God do it secretly? I am asking you, if you have God, show Him. Don’t be a secret agent Christian. As you declare God openly, God will show Himself strong in your life. He will do incredible things for you and all ears that hear it will marvel and be attracted to Him. I declare to you today that as you serve God openly and confidently, you will not be put to shame. You will be celebrated. Where they have rejected you, despised you and shut your mouth, they will seek your opinion and you will become a sought after. I bless you in the name of the Lord.
