This early prototype of the CE-2, which endures in popularity, features a mono or stereo footswitchable channel for activating the chorus, and a very basic rate and depth control. The Boss CE-1 was very popular in the 80s and was heard on many recordings, another noteworthy user being Lenny Kravitz.
