Tomorrow I have 2 very special things to celebrate. Not only was my youngest son born 7 years ago - but I also got a second chance at life. some of you already know this, but most dont. When I was in the delivery room with Damien - my heart stopped beating - THREE different times. Im pretty sure it was due to the anesthesiologist, who was new at the time, giving me too much epidural. But, no one really knows for sure exactly why - or, at least, they wouldnt say at the hospital, (of course not - what doctor/nurse/etc would ever admit they screwed up and killed someone?!) Im not a perfect person, daughter, or mother. Im not rich. Im not a famous actress. I havent been the first woman to go to mars or the first woman president. I havent done anything people would consider spectacular or impressive. And that is just fine by me!! :) What I did get is much more important to me. I got a second chance to LIVE and be a mother to my WONDERFUL children! They may drive me nuts from time to time - but until Ashton, Kallie, & Damien came into my life, I never knew I could love someone SOOO much. As I sit here, watching my munchkins eat their breakfast - Im in tears. At the thought that things could have been SO different. I could not be here with them - to watch them grow, to watch them learn, to watch them turning into amazing little people. I have never been more thankful for anything else in my entire 30 years of life!! These 3 not-so-little-anymore rugrats... are my EVERYTHING. Mama loves you, Ashton, Kallie & Damien! Forever & always times infinity!! No matter what!
