Tomorrow is the first day of childhood cancer awareness month. I - TopicsExpress

Tomorrow is the first day of childhood cancer awareness month. I am changing my profile picture to the one where we were told that Marshalls scans were all clear after almost a year of chemo treatments, over 30 admissions to the hospital for treatments and resulting fevers (each time for 3 to. 5 days), 31 trips to Hampton for proton radiation. Also , there were hundreds of hours spent in the oncology clinic, countless blood and platelet transfusions, antibody infusions, nausea, vomiting, mouth sores, sores that no one wants to hear about. Then there is the hair loss, nerve pain, trouble walking, missing out on the life of a 15 year old boy, pills, surgeries....what a year this has been for Marshall and our entire family. I could go on... Most of you have followed our journey and prayed us through. Childhood cancer is a terrible thing. We need more research and answers . No child should have to endure this. I thank. God that He has been with us the whole way and has completely healed our son.
