Tomorrows Appulse Lunar Eclipse: Oct 18, 2013, 1 degree Aries; Totality at 11:37 pm Universal Time, Magnitude .7 and should be visible to the naked eye. The whole eclipse starts at 9:50 pm Universal time and goes to 1:49 am Universal Time on October 19, 201 lasting 4 hours. Totality occurs at 5:07 am India Time. For us in India it will be taking place for all of the mangala, so we will all be chanting anyway. It is visible in: Eastern Canada, they will see the entire event while the rest of Canada and the USA will see moonrise with the eclipse already in progress. Observers in Europe and Africa will also see the entire event, while eastern Asia misses the end because of moonset. This eclipse is not showing in India. Thank God! This eclipse falls into the Devic Nakshatra of Aswhini. This nakshatra is youthful adventurous primordial and spontaneous. The first pada of this nakshatra is full of enthusiastic energetic initiative. It is the nakshatra of the forging pioneer. It falls in the dwadashamsa (2 ½ degree segment) of power and intensity- Pictured is a phoenix rising out of the ashes. Which signifies intensity of aspiration.
