Tonight Avonlea (my middle child thats completely serious and yet looks like she stepped out of an Anthropologie catalog for kids), said: mom, do you have that stuff that I can dip my fruit in that makes me choke? I stood there dumbfounded for a minute and then realized she meant powdered peanut butter. She loves to eat it but always coughs because she breathes it in. I nodded and said, as long as you dont choke! And gave her some... She walked over and dipped some banana slices in it. Then she said, Ill be right back. She ran to the bathroom and coughed and choked. I knocked on the door. Yes, mom? Are you choking on peanut butter powder? If I say yes, can I still have it? Yes, I laughed and handed her my iced tea to wash it down. Thanks mom. She smiled... And went back to coughing as she kept trying to eat it.
