Tonight my daughter brought home a math worksheet that required her to use the partial difference method and the trade-first method for subtraction. On each problem, then asked her to do ballpark method. She is very confused, in tears, and as a result math is slowly becoming a bad experience. I have sat back patiently before judging, but the time has come. I will be meeting with her teacher and the principal if needed and demanding that my daughter be allowed to choose the method that she finds easiest to do multi-digit subtraction and be allowed to use only that method. This common core is ridiculous and turning an already confusing subject for children into a nightmare. I WILL NOT BE USING COMMON CORE MATH FOR MY DAUGHTER. Enough is enough
