Tonight on my gig, I had a really cool talk with a young kid working security. He was telling me about his plans to become a cop. When I asked him how he feels about going into something so risky, he said, Well, ever since I remember- Ive wanted to be a cop. When someone calls the police, its usually the worst day of their life. I want to help people. My mother worries... thats the hardest thing of all. But I want to take the risk- its worth it to help people who desperately need it. Just like that... My heart felt healed a bit tonight by that kid.
