Tonight, on my run in the rain, I ran without headphones and listened to the pitter-patter of the raindrops as they fell on the pavement. I thought about my life and how blessed I am to have a God who loves me and has always cared so deeply for me throughout my life. He has always been there for me, watching over me, protecting me, teaching me, challenging me, loving me. With every good and bad decision that I have made, he continues to make a way for me. What I remembered tonight, is that no matter how many times I have gotten lost along the way, or just collapsed in one place out of defeat, or deliberately chose to go in a different direction, He has always made a way. I had forgotten that. I met Jeremy a few years ago when I was in a different place in my life and heading in a direction that I thought for sure would lead to something specific...something that did not include Jeremy. Jeremy, however, waited and loved me from afar. After many turns, many losses, and many gains, I walked right into Jeremys open arms. I am grateful. The Lord really does grant you the desires of your heart. He knows them better than any other. So in this new year--and it is a NEW year--I will press on toward the goal. I will anticipate the good and the great that God can create out of the bad. I will not lose hope. I will not give up. I will remember the things that Jesus has taught me...that they may not depart from me. Because he does speak and he does move and he does redeem and he does give life. Life to the fullest. Begatia.
