Tonight was an emotional, yet beautiful night. A month ago today we lost my mom to pancreatic cancer. Hospice really helped us with her end of life care and made my mom so comfortable. They treated her with such respect and love right to the very end. When they would shift her to make her more comfortable, they would then brush her hair, and place her angel bear right next to her head. EVERY TIME!!! A Hospice musical therapist sang four Elvis gospel songs to her (as my mom LOVED Elvis), and she had the most angelic voice. Now, tonight, even after her death, they continue to comfort. We were able to honor my mothers memory at the Hospice Light Up My Life event earlier this evening. Bagpipes played, a choir sang, and trees were lit up at the same time. So beautiful. I cant thank this organization enough for what they have done for my family, my mom and thousands of other families. Thank you Hospice, and Mom, I love you so very much.
