Tonights Movie: The Castle (1997) Darryl Kerrigan: Dad, he reckons powerlines are a reminder of mans ability to generate electricity. -------------------------------------------- A Melbourne family is very happy living where they do, near the Melbourne airport. However, they are forced to leave their beloved home, by the Government and airport authorities. The Castle is the story of how they fight to remain in their house, taking their case as far as the High Court. This movie saw Eric Bana make his film debut and had some great Aussie stars in it. Michael Caton, Stephen Curry and Charles Bud Tingwell. The film only took 11 days to shoot. I love this movie and would put it up there as one of my favourite Australian Films.
