Tony Stewart, by his actions and antics over the years, has opened himself up the critics. But at this point its probably misguided to place the blame on squarely on Tony Stewart just by watching a shaky YouTube video. Id say the ball is, and should be, in the hands of the local law enforcement to review all the evidence, including a possible on board GoPro camera, which the public will likely never see. Investigators will also have to take into account interviews with those involved and witnesses to determine if any actions were blatant versus reactionary. They should also educate themselves about how those cars drive because there is a lot of speculation about Tony gassing it causing the contact. Many racers say that could be attributed to trying to turn the car out of the way of a guy running toward him on the track. Those cars arent designed to drive like a street car and only turn well at high speed with a lot of downforce from those big wings. Then take visibility into account. Ward was in a black suit. There was a car in front of Tony potentially blocking his view. And hes looking through a plastic visor and a windscreen on a dark track. Also, they dont use spotters. I think this all really adds up to an unfortunate series of events, a tragic racing accident with any criminal matters to be determined by the local authorities not comments on the internet.
