Torn labrum, havent performed #musclesups in 7 months...and less - TopicsExpress

Torn labrum, havent performed #musclesups in 7 months...and less than 2 weeks back to working on them Ive DOUBLED my personal best (2 to 4). For those of you who dont know the labrum helps your shoulder with #stability. So, something as simple as a pushup would hurt, ring dips and handstand pushups were out of the question. But guess what? With surgery not being an option I was forced to figure out other ways to train with a torn labrum. Worked with a chiropractor, performed #MOBILITY drills DAILY, #handstand holds, and Turkish getups to strengthen the surrounding muscles. Worked on the #basics, the things people dont want to work on...and now Im back in working order after several months of practice/rehab. Whats the point? The point is dont dismiss your ability to move #CORRECTLY. Its the most boring part of a training routine but if you dont...if you #FORCE your #body to move a certain way with limited mobility something is going to give...a ligament...a tendon...a muscle. Once that gets damaged its not a fun recovery process (assuming you can recover). Mobility FIRST. Range of motion, proprioception, #symmetry, #muscle #balance, etc. These are the FIRST things you should work on. Not how #strong you are, not how #fast you are, not even what you look like (I know that hits home for most of us). #Form...#strict form...with proper #mobility. Master that...and the skys the limit! youtube/watch?v=--l3SCsUh20
