Track 0 – Post 1 Okay, before we proceed, let’s clarify a few things. We are converting this little space we have into a small occasional classroom. Occasional because one, we will not have a regular preset schedule; and two, because we share space with our admin that takes care of invitations, inquiries, short music courses and some cottage production and distribution sundries. This classroom is open to all who are intently interested in seeking viable alternate paradigms and programs in pursuit of their shared resolve to systematically work for a better social order. Better means ecologically suitable, personally affirming and economically sufficient. We will presume a pluralist ethos in this class, which is a tricky business because while we strive to tolerate our differences, we may not tolerate intolerance. So I will have to play villain. I will expect of those who wish to participate a minimum common courtesy to others. Stick to the subject, address pertinent issues, completely demolish a fallacious argument if you have to – but no badmouthing, no demonizing and no personal affronts. Else you leave me no choice but delete your post and shut you out. You in turn will police my conduct by the same measure. We will proceed by track. Track 1 is Social Vision Track 2 is Political Work Track 3 is Communitarian Action Track 0 will be our General Track. To facilitate referencing, we will codify posts following the convention Track “0, 1, 2 or 3” - Post “1..2..3..n” (I will limit my installments to four or five bite size paragraphs so they don’t eat up too much of your time.)
