Traffic Police appeals for decongestion of traffic in Srinagar City Srinagar: To ensure smooth movement of traffic in Srinagar city, Traffic Police Srinagar City has requested general public to avoid blocking of roads and boarding and de-boarding passenger vehicles at wrong places besides avoid parking at wrong places on road side and park vehicles at the designated parking slots. Keeping in view, the 4.5 lakh registered vehicles in Kashmir Valley which almost visit Srinagar centre besides the huge influx of tourists tremendous traffic pressure is on the city roads, states a communiqué from Traffic Police City Srinagar. The Traffic Police Srinagar City has also requested for abiding by the traffic signals and to drive with patience, however, in case of help can approach nearest Traffic Police on the Nos. 0194-2455179, 0194-245002 and 0914-2455164.
