Traffic Ticket Law Changes – Update June 12, 2013 Every year there are many traffic ticket law changes that every driver should be made aware of. Basic cell phone laws state that you cannot communicate with another person using a handheld device via voice or text. This would include but not limited to Instant Messages, Text Messages, and email. However in January 2013 the law was amended to allow the use of electronic wireless communication with a device that is specifically designed and configured to all voice-operated and hands-free operation to dictate, send, and listen to text-based communication while driving.
