Troop D traffic update: Troop D is experiencing major weather related problems on all bridges and overpasses with ice. • I-10 East and West between from MP 25 to MP 34 (through Lake Charles) with intermediate closures. • I-10 East and West from the state line to MP 3 with intermediate closures. • I-10 East at MP 27 (PPG overpass) due to fatal crash. Eastbound closed with traffic being diverted onto I-210. • I-10 West at MP 62 overpass due to fatal crash. Traffic passing in one lane. • I-210 East and West between Mile Marker 1 to Mile Marker 4 (the I-210 Bridge) with intermediate closures. • All bridges in Calcasieu, Jeff Davis, Beauregard and Allen Parishes have ice on them. • DOTD is working very hard to clear bridges and overpasses but ice is reforming shortly after treatment. Road closure information changes rapidly because of this. • DOTD has additional resources en route to the Troop D area. • As of 7:00 a.m., Troop D has investigated 23 weather related crashes and 2 weather related fatal crashes. • Troop D continues to investigate multiple crashes in the area.
