Trust in God By adminon Sat, 15 Mar 2014 “For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God…” 1 Peter 3:5 A quality of the women in former times was they trusted God. The Bible says, “They were holy women who trusted God. Whose daughters you are if you do good and are not afraid with any terror.” For the married woman, you have to be a woman of faith if you are going to be married to a man of faith. Because the moment you get comfortable in your home and settled in your life, here comes a Word from the Lord that changes everything. Thank God He made us easily adaptable. When it comes to obeying God, you simply have to trust Him. To a woman that does not trust God; she will refute anything that sounds illogical. To a woman that has experienced many failures in the past with her husband’s decision making, if she focuses on those failures rather than trusting God, she too will be hindered from obeying God. God told Abram to depart from his country and from all of his kinfolk and to go to a land that He would show him. Can you imagine how that may have sounded to Sarai? “Hey honey, we have to pack up and go.” She probably said, “Go where?” His response, “I don’t know. God said He’d show me once we get there.” Sarai went with Abram even though she didn’t know the full plan. We should also trust God even when we don’t know the full plan. God is not obligated to give us all the details of anything. He reveals only what He wants us to know and sometimes, just as with Abram, our husbands don’t know anything but the first step. As he obeys the first instruction, we find that God will show him what to do next. Trust in God.
