Tuesday, March 18 was a milestone day in Tennessee’s movement to End Forced Annexation (EFA). Two R2V-EFA bills cleared the Senate State & Local committee. This essentially ensures passage of a good EFA bill and supports advancement of an even better bill. SB 869 is now poised for senate floor consideration to join its companion, HB590, which passed the house 78-8-5 four weeks ago. SB2464, the End of Forced Annexation in Tennessee Act, became stronger via an amendment worked out by a strong consortium of TN citizen legislators. It also is ready for movement to the senate floor pending clearance by HB2371, its companion bill, through the House Finance Ways & Means committee this Tuesday, March 25th. Citizen support, momentum & legislative progress associated with each bill strengthens the other. This inherent synergy contributes to providing Tennessean’s with the best possible legislation to End Forced Annexation and its destructive effect on good government. Now it is time for Tennesseans to unite behind HB2371 and assure its advancement through the House Finance, Ways & Means committee. . This weekend is the time to contact them. Thank them for their past support of your Right2Vote. Remember five weeks ago Tuesday, they advanced HB590 with recommendation for adoption. Strongly encourage them to vote in favor of the amended HB2371.
