Tuesday Track or Garage Workout: We are all wrapped up on the declining recovery work. Hopefully it was beneficial in helping to improve some speed endurance. We will likely do it again towards the end of summer before the marathon workouts kick back in. The workout this week will be 12 x 200M (at 1 mile pace) with a 200M jog recovery. The recovery should be approximately double your rep time, so if you are running the 200s in 40 seconds, the jog recovery should be about 80 seconds. Be sure to warm up and cool down with a ½ mile or so. Start time is 6:30 pm @ Clements High School. Be sure to bring some water and/or Gatorade and stay hydrated between reps. For the hill training, we will have a group meeting behind TRC at 6:30. Its about a 1/2 mile or so run to the garage. Once at the garage going all the way up, a loop of the top level and back down is about 3/4 of a mile. You can do as many or as few of reps as you would like. Its going to be warm out so bring something to stay hydrated with. This is St. Lukes Hospitals parking garage, so it is private property. Remember to always be on our best behavior so we dont attract any negative attention and get kicked out.
