‘Twas a humorous skit… but, back to reality--- all Congressional Republicans have to do (ALL they have EVER had to do over the past couple of years or so) is PASS AN IMMIGRATION BILL! The bottom line--- Congressional Republicans haven’t been doing their “job” when it comes to addressing the immigration issue (TRUTH--- they haven’t been doing their “job” PERIOD… all they have been doing is sitting on their hands ever since a BLACK, Democratic President was elected several years ago). And, ANY executive order PRESIDENT Obama signs ONLY lasts as long as his presidency does… and, it won’t even survive THAT long if Congress just ACTS and FINALLY puts together an immigration bill of its own… you know--- if Congress actually decides to DO ITS JOB! So, I applaud the President for acting NOW on the immigration issue… since, Congressional Republicans have committed to doing little more than essentially shutting down government--- so long as they have a BLACK guy living in what they clearly believe is THEIR “WHITE House”. BOTTOM LINE--- don’t like the President using his executive authority? DEMAND that Congressional Republicans COMMIT to passing a friggin’ immigration bill… end of story.
