Two Jukebox surprises. Back in the olden days if you played a song on the jukebox the whole room heard it. We were coming back from Canada - I guess I was about 12, and we were traveling on the mountain dirt roads of Vermont. Did we get a flat tire coming down one of those steep hills? I dont remember exactly why we stopped at that little pine paneled roadhouse at the bottom of the hill. I remember there was Somebody to Love by the Jefferson Airplane on the jukebox. Later that school year, the art teacher asked me to draw a tree. Ill show her, I thought in my pre-pubescent sullenness, and drew Vermont mountains full of trees that had made such an enduring impression on me. We were drinking beer in JC Dobbs, down in Philly, on a winter day. There was suddenly music outside and the locals were marching in a little colorful parade. Snow was falling softly, the sky was grey, I remember a man with a long beard passing by with a paper mache fish at the end of a fishing pole. Inside, this song was on the jukebox-- youtube/watch?v=T8xfUXS1uI0
