Two things my volunteering gave me yesterday. At food share a man thanked me for looking at his eyes when I was talking to him and using his name. Later at the Bookery a women bought 24 paperbacks which brought the total of $12. She handed the clerk $20 and said how about you not give me back change. I have food and I see no reason other people should not have food. (explanation, all profits from the bookstore go to buying food to put on the shelves at the food share). I love lessons learned.
