Tyler was another dog at the Doris Day doggie fashion show held in Carmel that found a forever home! See story below: Tyler, a small black and tan Chihuahua Mix puppy met his match with two ladies who live in our States Capitol, Sacramento. Both had said they just knew he was the right puppy for them. Written by: Roberta Manzitto-Collings Dee and I have 5 Cocker Spaniels already. We love animals, and planned to go to the fashion show to support the DDAF and other foundations that were sponsoring the event. Adopting another baby was NOT our intention, but when Tyler came down the red carpet, our hearts melted. When his escort passed by us, Tyler looked at us and tried to jump to us. I asked his escort if I could hold him, and Tyler immediately started to kiss me and snuggled my neck. We knew that our mom Donie would love him. She loves chihuahuas and lost her two boys after 16 years with them. She vowed not to have another dog because of the pain in losing Bubba and Brutus. Donie lives with us and said our dogs were enough. We knew she would change her mind when she saw him. We were right! Donie fell instantly in love with her little man. From first sight, he started following Donie everywhere. He snuggles her every night and shares Donies bed with 2 of our Cockers. It wasnt long until this 5 pound mass of energy and spunk took over the house. The 5 Cockers took to him immediately, and now the dogs out number us by 2 to 1! Come to think of it, I believe Tyler picked us first....it was magic!
