U.S. Army Forces Command and The Army Ground Forces Band performed two holiday concerts Wed., Dec. 17, 2014 at the Meymandi Concert Hall, Raleigh, N.C. -- a 2 p.m. matinee and a 7 p.m. evening show. Both shows were filled to capacity as the citizens and veterans of Raleigh and the Triangle region of North Carolina joined us to enjoy some musical holiday cheer. Col. Daniel J.W. King, FORSCOM director of public affairs, hosted the matinee show and Maj. Gen. Jimmie Jaye Wells, FORSCOM chief of staff, hosted the evening show. We were joined by Raleigh City Council members John Odom (matinee) and Eugene Weeks (evening) who welcomed us to the capital city -- both gentlemen, themselves military veterans, spoke eloquently of their own time in uniformed service to our nation.
