UCSB Graduate Students- Request for Participation & Starting a Grad Blog *** Deadline Extension—Monday, February 2nd *** Please forward and share widely In light of the failure of grand juries to indict the police officers for the murders of Mike Brown and Eric Garner, a group of us have been meeting to discuss our roles as academics and engaged community members to both critically understand as well as support the uprisings and mobilization to end police violence and dismantle systemic racism. We are collecting written pieces & submissions from UCSB graduate students to publish on a forthcoming blog/website (details TBA). Submission pieces of any form that is compatible with the online blog from prose to poetry are welcome. All authors submitting work will retain copyright.
