UPDATE: The suspect in the Washington, D.C., shooting spree that left 13 dead had a security clearance that allowed him access to the Navy Yard. Aaron Alexis had been working as an hourly employee for a subcontractor for Hewlett-Packard, the company said Monday. Alexis was killed in a shoot-out with police after a spree that left 12 dead on the base. The Washington Post reported that Alexis, an employee for The Experts, had his security clearance renewed in July. Also, late Monday evening, Navy officials said that all 12 victims of the shooting earlier in the day were civilians. Vice Admiral Bill French added that another 14 were wounded.
