US corporate cartels benefit from war on ISIL: Reports Major US corporate cartels are reportedly geared to become the main beneficiaries of Washington’s so-called coalition against the ISIL Takfiri terrorists. According the LA Times, giant military contractor Raytheon has won a new deal to provide the US military with more Tomahawk cruise missiles to be fired into Iraq and Syria. As the US military is expected to go on a spending spree, all major arms contractors are trading near all-time records on the stock market with their share prices constantly on the rise. Other US military firms are also set to benefit from the war on ISIL in the long run, as they are manufacturing most of the vehicles used by the Takfiri group. As ISIL vehicles are mostly US-manufactured cars looted from Iraq, analysts predict that firms such as Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman will be awarded contracts in the future to provide the Iraqi army with a whole new collection of vehicles. The potential financial windfall for the US military firms comes amid the Pentagon’s call for more diverse war tactics against the ISIL. Pentagon spokesman Rear Admiral John Kirby warned on Friday that the ISIL has enormously shifted its tactics to make the airstrikes “more difficult” for the US. Since September 22, the US and its allies, including Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Jordan, have been conducting airstrikes against the ISIL inside Syria without any authorization from Damascus or a UN mandate. The airstrikes are an extension of the US-led aerial campaign against ISIL positions in Iraq. While most European governments have refrained from joining the US-led air campaign in Syria, France, the Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium and Britain are contributing to the US campaign.
