Untitled - original Waking up to the smell of rain makes me feel happy that nothing has ever stopped me from breathing. And honestly, the crisp sentiment or raindrops on my nose or filtering through my eyelashes, the sound of water falling free from a sky rich with even deaths secrets, all combine to ignite and refresh everything I am to make me feel alive and glad to be living. If love is everything I have read in books or seen in the photographs of what used to be my parents marriage then perhaps smelling rain in someones hair is enough to fall for them for awhile. But I still have days rainy days, mostly, where I like to wonder what it would be like to have a love that made you want to fill your lungs with its aroma and fill your head with its rhythms. Let it wash away the make-up that you never really needed. To fall for someone as freely as raindrops fall from concrete Autumn skies. And if love could be anything like rain, then what are umbrellas and why do we silly people use them?
