Will you be going to any? :) #croftmill #fabric #events#sewingandmaking August 8th-11th August: Festival of Quilts - Birmingham NEC The Festival of Quilts (organised with the support of the Quilters Guild of the British Isles) has earned a reputation over the past eight years as the largest, most inspiring quilting event in Europe - with good reason! The Festival of Quilts boasts a host of gallery exhibitions from leading international artists and groups. Over 250 companies will be selling all those hard-to-find patchwork and quilting supplies, so bring your shopping bags! They also offer The Quilt Academy with a stunning programme of nearly 100 masterclasses, workshops and lectures, and the Quick & Easy workshops provide another 100 plus sessions aimed at beginners. 24th - 25th August: Oxford Conference of Corsetry - Jesus College, Oxford Enjoy workshops, a corset making clinic, embellishment bar, fabric swap shop, guest speakers and more. There will be experts on hand for help and advice and a professional photographer to photgraph your creations. You can also study the Symington Collection of antique corsets. Overnight accomodation, all meals and refreshments are included. 30th August-1st September: Great Northern Quilt Show - Great yorkshire Show Ground, Harrogate Wonderful display of quilts with entries invited from all over the world, including feature displays. There are also workshops available too which can only be booked at the show. Excellent facilities including restaurant, wide aisles, facilities for the disabled, free car parking, easy and instant access. September 5th - 7th September: The Creative Craft Show - Esher, Sandown Park This show is a regionally based multi craft show featuring everything from dressmaking to feltmaking, embroidery, patchwork & quilting, dying, beading, papercrafts, scrapbooking, knitting and so much more! With suppliers to shop from, classes to take and features for inspiration you will find everything you need for a great day out! 20th - 22nd September: Scottish Quilt Championships - Royal Highland Showgrounds, Edinburgh Spectacular displays of hundreds of quilts from all over the world. Patchwork and quilting suppliers stands, providing a unique opportunity to shop with our dedicated exhibitors under one roof. There will also be workshops running that can be booked at the show. 13th- 21st Of September: The Jane Austen festival Concerts, dancing, walks and regency costume fashion shows at this annual Bath festival. 14th- 28th Of September: St Ives September Festival A Cornwall celebration of music, art, walks, talks, exhibitions, poetry… the list goes on! 14th- 22nd Of September: London Design Festival Tent London is hosting a four day craft market at this years festival. 26th-29th September: Creative Stitches & Hobbycrafts - Westpoint Centre, Exeter Just in time to stock up for your Christmas makes you will find vendors selling a massive range of beads, fabrics, threads, yarns, papers, inks, stamps and trimmings will be on show for those crafty projects. October: 10th-13th October: The Knitting & Stitching Show - Alexandra Palace, London. This multi craft show covers not just knitting and stitching but also felt-making, shibori dyeing, jewellery-making, card-making, mixed media. 19th - 20th October: Festival of Crafts - The Maltings, Farnham Festival of crafts brings together over 80 designer-makers and offers a great opportunity for visitors to buy bespoke craft pieces and gain inspiration from skilled professionals. Contemporary crafts on show include ceramics, textiles, glass, metal, jewellery and wood. Items range from embroidered accessories, bespoke wallpaper and handmade furniture. 31st October- 3rd November The Knitting & Stitching Show - RDS Dublin This multi craft show covers not just knitting and stitching but also felt-making, shibori dyeing, jewellery-making, card-making, mixed media. You will find suppliers, magazines, workshops and galleries at the show. November 3rd November: Thread - The Maltings, Farnham Thread will be an annual showcase for the many and varied textile notions. The festival will have a strong emphasis on contemporary textiles and activities will include a marketplace, expert talks by leading names and a sewing school amongst others. 14th-16th November: The Creative Craft Show - Belfast This show is a regionally based multi craft show featuring everything from dressmaking to feltmaking, embroidery, patchwork & quilting, dying, beading, papercrafts, scrapbooking, knitting and so much more! With suppliers to shop from, classes to take and features for inspiration you will find everything you need for a great day out! 21st-24th November: The Knitting & Stitching Show, Harrogate International Centre. This multi craft show covers not just knitting and stitching but also felt-making, shibori dyeing, jewellery-making, card-making, mixed media.
