Update #3 Kat is still doing about the same. Still requiring high oxygen flow in order to stay alive. The doctors are not content with this however. They had her do a CT scan to try and figure things out. We are awaiting the doctors analysis on this to determine future changes in her treatment plan. Currently they have made some changes to her bipap machine in order to combat the high CO2 in her blood stream. We shall try that out in an hour or so. However good news, there had been a ph imbalance in her blood that has now been corrected, which Im told is a very good thing and that it means her body is still responding to treatments. Thanks Mandy DeVoe Benton for being a lifesaver by getting us a hotel rooms and food and being cheerful company and being a champion advocate for kats health concerns with the new doctors. You are one in a million. I wish we were out of the woods, but the doctors here are far from giving up. Kats still not up to posting on here yet, shes having alot of severe headaches that make screens rather painful to look at for an extended period of time. Lastly they are monitoring her calorie intake. this is to determine if she needs a feeding tube. Hopefully this is not the case but we will do whatever it takes. Kats health is our #1 concern.
