Update! Cake just got out of post op. This third procedure took twice as long as expected, and was tough from what his Drs said. He was able to locate the mass that was blocking his bile duct, it was large and they had to break it up and remove it, which was difficult and they had to make some incisions around to get to it. The best news and most relieving of all, the Dr believes its not cancerous. So, BIG relief after days of trying to prepare for that scary possibility. As it stands he doesnt need the fourth, more invasive surgery. Three surgeries in three days, hell be recovering and in the hospital for a couple more days. Many thanks to the team that got Cake out of his rare situation, his surgeons Dr Mestalli, Dr Mejia, Dr Harold and all the amazing nurses that have both cared for him and kept us sane. Thank you to you all for your support and kind words, just knowing youre there means so much. Lifes so different than what you think it is when youre able to take it for granted. This truly is the best Halloween ever, even though were in the hospital and we wont be dressing up or spending it how we normally do, were definitely celebrating!
