Update: Chels went back to our GP today! Just to check in and discuss how shes been feeling! All in all, the doctor thinks her emotional ups and downs are still due to the baby blues and not PND! And to be honest Chels has had a really good day today! Her mood has been steady and positive and weve had some lovely moments as a couple, not just mummies! Cuddles on the couch, a treating take away dinner, and lots of conversations about love and love, Saskia and future family plans! We had fresh croissants for breakfast from the bakery, and a lovely stroll around the river just the three of us! It was special! Dont get me wrong! Not that we arent connecting anyway, but with Chels feeling low and emotionally chaotic, its basically been a relationship of support! And I adore being her rock! But today there was something deeper again, team like and joyful! I valued it SO much.....As did she! So, she is not getting her hopes up about the constant positive nature of today but being realistic and still taking things day by day! She means everything to me and is the most beautiful mum! No matter what shes going through she is there for our Saskia 200%! All day, every day! We both are, and I wouldnt have it any other way! Your messages of constant love, support and reassurance are a true godsend! Thank you lovely people! For being our community! Our friends! Our surrogate family! Baby steps as they say ( in more way than one! ☺️) Ps OMG WERE MUMMIES!! Someone pinch me!!! I love this so much!!!
