Update for Ripley School of Boxing. Matt longton boxed last night at Walgrave working men’s in Coventry his opponent a lad called Dean Ferris’s who has had 2 bouts this season. Matt who has not boxed following a stoppage before Christmas last year is well on the comeback run. An excellent bout going the full 3 rounds of hard boxing Matt came out well on top 1st round catching his opponent with some great uppercuts at one point looking like he was going to stop him with a great left hook. Second round got a bit scrappy both boxers the ref stepping in to stop Dean holding on to Matt, both even 2nd round 3rd round Matt on top again good control boxing good straight head shoots going in I had the round even. It was a hard contest and it seems to take a long time for the decision to be made. It was a split going in favour of Ferris’s the crowd not too happy with the outcome but Matt is now back on a winning track. And his next bout will be a couple of weeks’ time with other boxers ready for bouts. So well done Matt and keep up the good work. Following a phone made to Donna the medicals will be on the 23rd March Donna will confirm to me over the next week so arrangements can be made for our boxers to attend.
