Update on Sadi: is still going through her treatments and meds and will be there until next Tuesday. She was VERY VERY sick, just like I suspected.The treatment that we received by the staff that kept ignoring my pleas didnt go down to well for them. Yes, theyre all employed but the owner was very displeased to say the least and put it like this. A person on MediCal shouldnt be less of a priority than a person on a PPO or HMO plan, so why should a shelter animal get less than what is deserved. Because of this, she is getting EVERYTHING from him that she deserves and I cant thank him enough. One of the girls up front said this had to happen as this wasnt the 1st time they have done this (the other Docs). They basically just kept saying The dogs cough has to run its course --- tell her well call her when we get a chance. It took 3 days (got her out on Monday and by the 5th day (Friday) she was in the hospital there! He told them that they needed to get off of their high horses and realize that pet owners know MORE about their pets than we do. He is such a KIND and humble man, but I will think twice about taking any of my dogs here again, although he will most likely be the one that has to do her dental since he is familiar with her. He said she will still be on meds when I pick her up next Tuesday. She had x-rays today and still is only at 75% and has a little way to go. Please continue to pray for this sweetheart as she is such an ANGEL. Im glad shes getting what she deserves now. Sarah actually thanked me for being their voice. Also forgot to mention that Sadi had a white blood cell of 50,000 and 15,000 was normal. If it had been more in the normal range wed have a really serious problem because there would only be 1 reason for her to be this sick and thank GOD it wasnt the case---I had a very SLEEPLESS night just waiting on her results when he mentioned the possibility of the C word. I didnt mention this to not alarm anybody but they put her at 6 to 8 yrs old NOT 2 yrs old!! Shes still fairly young but she is not a baby.
