Update on mama hen and her four adopted chicks: she continues to do a great job caring for the babies. They are now four days old and shes kept them alive and well for three of those. Everyone has now moved to a spacious 3x6 brooder coop, separate from but adjacent to the rest of the flock. Watching a mama hen rear chicks has been - no joke - way, way cooler than I could ever have imagined. Im not a sentimental type, but I am just so proud of this buff orp and how well she is caring for the little peepers.
