Update on my brother, Dave --- the tumor on his pancreas is - TopicsExpress

Update on my brother, Dave --- the tumor on his pancreas is cancerous but has not invaded the major blood vessels --- this means they can perform the Whipple surgery to remove the head of the pancreas and some other parts will be removed as well, then they basically rewire his system to work around the removed parts... it is scheduled for March 20th at Robert Packer (Guthrie,Sayre Pa) and will take 4-6 hours to complete the surgery. Dave will then remain in the hospital for about 2 weeks following the surgery. The stent procedure that was performed on Tuesday this week went well and he is beginning to feel better. Please pray for his appetite to return and that his diabetes can remain stable with numbers between 130 - 160 as these things will help him substantially for the upcoming surgery. The outcome is in Gods hands.
