Usually in a shopping mood, but for some reason I am procrastinating on engaging in most favourite sport: Christmas shopping. Maybe its the whole icky-feeling of consumerism-gone-wild, maybe its the crowds - the dirty door handles and elevator buttons I will encounter, oh my! Or maybe its the pit-in-the-stomach-feeling of riding the financial waves of being self-employed. For those of you who are employed be grateful for the peace that comes every 2 weeks... consistent and dependable financial replenishment is definitely something to be grateful for, so long as you enjoy what you do and it is something that aligns with your values. As for shopping... I find myself yearning for something more - something far more valuable and meaningful than shoes, clothes and shiny things - to give and receive. Can anyone else here relate?
