VATICAN PROTOCOL OFFCIALS CAME TO THE ARCHDIOCESE OF PALO YESTERDAY FOR THE FIRST OCULAR INSPECTION. The Vatican Offcials were: Dr. Alberto Gasbarri (Chief Organizer of Papal International Apostolic Visits), Dr. Paolo Corvini (Office of Protol-Secreriat of State- Vatican City), Dr. Stefania Izzo (Alitalia, Consultant to the Holy See on Air Travels). The representatives were accompanied by: Most Rev. Giuseppe Pinto, DD (Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines), Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle (Archbishop of Manila), and National Government Offcials and Clergy involved on the National Committe structured for the coming of the Pope. The team visited the proposed sites for the Popes Mass: the New Airport Apron (San Jose, Tacloban City), the Government Center (Candahug, Palo, Leyte), the Tacloban Port Area (Tacloban City. They also checked the Palo Metropolitan Cathedral (Palo, Leyte), the Archbishops Residence, and the Sto. Niño Church (Tacloban City). An aerial survey of the locations for the Popes visit was also done thru a helicopter. The Vatican Protocol Officials will decided; based on the information and data gathered, on the venues for the Papal Visit.
